H2M, an architectural and engineering company in Melville, will lend its water-engineering services to the Village of Rockville Centre for an indeterminate amount of time.
On March 25, Water Department Superintendent Anthony Iannone stepped down, leaving a vacancy. At last week’s village briefing session, trustees approved an action item allowing H2M personnel to provide water-engineering services to Rockville Centre on a temporary basis — for $4,000 per month — as the village searches for Iannone’s replacement.
H2M will also help in that search, said Village Administrator Frank Quigley. In the meantime, it will oversee water operations and help Rockville Centre maintain its 1B Water license while the search for a Water Department superintendent continues.
“We want to identify a suitable replacement and recruit a candidate to fill the position on a full-time basis,” said Quigley.
