Susan Gruen Helsinger was named the club's new president, succeeding Ed Bernstein. Helisnger is founder of the Jason Gruen Foundation, a charitable organization named for her late son, which is dedicated to children's cardiac health. Helsinger is also the former owner of Custom South Shore Real Estate in Merrick.
Kiwanian Tammy McLoughlin was inducted as first vice president, Arlene Gregory was named second vice president and Kim Scharoff was tapped as secretary.
The induction ceremony was held at La Piazza on Merrick Road in Merrick.
