The parade, in which a number of organizations and veterans took part in, started from the East Meadow High School parking lot and made its way down to Veterans Memorial Park.
There, state Assemblywoman Maureen O'Connell (R-East Williston) and Nassau County Legislator Norma Gonsalves (R-East Meadow) delivered a few words, and memorial wreaths donated by local organizations were dedicated.
David Gorkin, senior vice commander of East Meadow Jewish War Veterans Post 709, was the parade's grand marshal.
The parade was dedicated to all the servicemen and women currently protecting our nation's freedom and way of life around the world.
