Human First hosts 10th anniversary gala

Human First, Inc., headquartered in Lynbrook, held its 10th Anniversary Holiday Party on December 21

  Human First ,Inc., a non-profit organization providing services to developmentally disabled individuals since 2001, recognized Long Island program participants at The Coral House, in Baldwin, NY 11510. The participants were recognized for their many accomplishments. 

Staff members nominated nine participants from the Medicaid Service Coordination Program and the Saturday Recreation Program for their outstanding involvement in their

Anthony Barker was recognized for advocating for people with developmental disabilities in Washington, D.C. and for his accomplishments expressing himself through music.

Erich Preis was recognized for giving back to his community by helping to found the Spirit of Huntington Art Center, a non-profit organization that provides art therapy and art instruction to children with developmental disabilities. Wayne Smith will be recognized for his hard work and dedication to the Dominican Sisters-Motherhouse in Amityville, where he has worked for 30 years as a dishwasher.

Also recognized were Kadie Cinquemani, Medicaid Service Coordination, Saturday Recreation Program; Lorraine D’Andrea, Medicaid Service Coordination; Maria Imbriale, Medicaid Service Coordination, Saturday Recreation Program, Ricky Johnson, Medicaid Service Coordination; Laura McTeague, Medicaid Service Coordination; and Frank Stoutenburgh, Medicaid Service Coordination.

Human First has served the New York City and Long Island developmentally disabled communities for 10 years. Human First serves over 800 consumers and their families daily across New York City’s five boroughs and Nassau and Suffolk counties.
