More than 350 residents attended the Rockville Centre Public Library’s celebration of its 130th year.

The attendees were treated to the homemade documentary, “Check it Out! The History of Rockville Centre Public Library,” as well as a steel drum orchestra and other attractions.

“People responded very well to my documentary,” said Alene Scoblete, the library’s archivist and documentary creator. “I just think people seemed to be really happy to be here. It was a positive vibe with people enjoying themselves.”

Scoblete said that a link to watch the documentary online could be found at the library’s website and added that there will be two circulating physical copies that can be borrowed.
