Among those honored was Mike McDermott, who was recognized for being a past-president for a second time. Also honored was board member Lou DiLeo, who was named a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest award given to a Rotarian for service to the club and community.
The Rotary has been very active this year, and has assisted the Salvation Army during the holidays, hosted the Rotary Track and Field meet at Baldwin High School and hosted its Thanksgiving food drive. The club also held its dictionary program, where they supply dictionaries to every third grader in Baldwin who attends school in the district, both public and parochial, among its many other endeavors and humanitarian efforts.
The Rotary Club of Baldwin is an independent member organization, chartered in 1954 to serve the Baldwin community and the world as part of Rotary International.
