Island Park Kiwanis serves some flippin’ good flapjacks

The Island Park Kiwanis Club held its annual pancake breakfast on April 29 at the Fireman’s Exempt Hall.
Like all Kiwanis fundraisers, all of the money raised goes back into the community, providing scholarships to local kids, including students at West Hempstead and Long Beach high schools, as well as providing funds to send kids to Kamp Kiwanis this summer.
The breakfast was also an opportunity for residents to sponsor Builder’s Club member John Byrne in his walk for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.
Those who came out were treated to delicious pancakes, of course, as well as bacon, sausage and all of the breakfast fixings. There were also vegas pulloffs.
