‘Patriot’s Day’ screening at the library
On June 9 at 1 p.m. Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will screen “Patriot’s Day,” which stars Mark Wahlberg. The movie tells the story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the city-wide hunt for the terrorists responsible.
Comedy extravaganza in Elmont
The Elmont Public Library will host its seventh annual comedy extravaganza on June 11 at 2 p.m. Mark Brier and some of Long Island’s best comedians will treat the audience to an afternoon of jokes and anecdotes. City Island and Pell Mansion trip
The Elmont Public Library will have its spring bus trip to the Bartow-Pell mansion and City Island on June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Guests will visit the mansion, have lunch at Artie’s Steak & Seafood in City Island and enjoy the shops of the seaport community. Come out to play
Long Island Children’s Museum’s popular outdoor exhibit, “Our Backyard,” has reopened for the season, on Museum Row in Garden City, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Everyone will enjoy exploring the sensory garden experimenting with the properties of water. Create summer showers on demand using a hand pump or try racing boats down two rills and splash in the streambed. Come to the cabaret
Enjoy a lively evening of cabaret, with the L.I.
