Junior Girl Scout Troop 2264 has a busy spring

Baldwin Junior Girl Scout Troop 2264 is cleaning up

It’s been a busy few weeks in Baldwin with spring busting out all over, but perhaps no group has been as active as Baldwin Junior Girl Scout Troop 2264. The little ladies of 2264 have chosen to “help beautify Baldwin,” for their Bronze Award Project and are planning to dedicate at least 20 hours of service to the community.

Thus far their energy has been well spent. The Scouts pitched in on Helping Hands Day with the BCA recently, adopted the Town of Hempstead planters along Merrick Road from Central Avenue to the Big and Cheap, and also pitched in for Sani2’s Big Sweep last weekend. After planting, weeding and cleaning streets as part of the Sweep the girls even held a car wash fundraiser to solicit money for more flowers.
