According to detectives from the 1st Precinct, on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. the female victim, 45, arrived at Shamosh's apartment with the intention of breaking off their relationship. Police have declined to discuss the nature of the relationship between the two women.
Upon learning of woman's intent, police said, Shamosh pointed a pellet gun at the victim, and held her against her will in the apartment for approximately five hours. The victim was eventually able to escape without any injuries. She did not report the incident to police until Feb. 13, however.
After an investigation by the 1st Precinct, Shamosh was arrested at her home, and officers recovered the pellet gun.
Shamosh was arraigned in Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead on Feb. 17. She is currently being held in the Nassau County Corrections Facility pending her next court appearance, which is scheduled for Feb. 22.
