The Metropolitan Transportation Authority unveiled service changes and additional transit options ahead of the New York Knicks championship parade in Lower Manhattan on June 18.
Two subway stations along the parade route will close beginning at 4:30 a.m. and are expected to reopen after the parade and City Hall ceremony, at around 5 p.m.

At the request of the New York Police Department, some station entrances and exits will be closed at several nearby stations, although trains will continue to stop there.

The MTA said it is prepared to add service on the A, J and 1 subway lines after the parade, depending on passenger demand.
Several New York City bus routes in Lower Manhattan will be diverted because of the parade route. Riders are encouraged to check for service updates before traveling.
Metro-North Railroad will operate additional morning trains to accommodate fans traveling to the parade.
On the Hudson Line, an extra train will depart Greystone at 7:49 a.m., making stops at Glenwood, Yonkers, Ludlow, Riverdale, Spuyten Duyvil and Marble Hill before arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 8:29 a.m.
On the Harlem Line, an extra train will depart North White Plains at 7:32 a.m., stopping at White Plains, Hartsdale, Scarsdale, Crestwood and Bronxville before arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 8:19 a.m.
On the New Haven Line, an extra train will depart Stamford at 6:52 a.m., making stops at Greenwich, Port Chester and Rye before arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 7:53 a.m. Seven additional trains will make extra stops at stations including New Rochelle, Stamford, Rowayton, Darien and Fairfield-Black Rock between 5:47 a.m. and 7:46 a.m. to provide added capacity.
Metro-North said frequent service will remain available throughout the day and until around 2 a.m. Friday to help fans return home after the celebration.
An alcohol ban will be in effect on both Metro-North Railroad and the Long Island Rail Road from 5 a.m. Thursday through 5 a.m. Friday. The ban applies to all trains and station platforms.
Alcohol consumption and open containers are prohibited at all times throughout the New York City subway system.
