George Washington Elementary School students Logan Shinsato and Keira Martel traded peer pressure for kindness last week after they witnessed a group of students get up from a lunch table when a boy sat there. Logan and Kiera sprung into action and had lunch with the student. The next day, they sat with the boy again. This time, however, their action inspired others to sit with them.
Kiera and Logan were awarded the school’s Certificate of Recognition later that day. When asked about his action, Logan commented, “Well, it’s important to be kind.”
