Lemonade stand fundraiser for an Oceanside boy

Friends and family gathered at the corner of Waterview Road and Rockaway Avenue in Oceanside on a warm sunny day to sell cooling lemonade. They were raising funds for nine-year-old Johnny Jackson who, once again, has to undergo treatment for a brain tumor.

Half a year ago they found his first cancerous brain tumor. He went through chemotherapy, which cleared that tumor. Unfortunately a new tumor has appeared.

Organizer of the Aug. 14 sale and support day, Pam McComb said, “We were very successful and overwhelmed with the outpouring of Oceanside people who came to support Johnny.”
