It seems like whatever was bad yesterday is good today and vice versa. Our parents told us not to load up your milk with chocolate. Now chocolate is good for your heart and the grocery aisles are loaded with milk alternatives.
My mother craved walnuts but was afraid to enjoy them because she had high cholesterol. Too bad mom, walnuts are good for you now.
Low fat diets went from being lifesavers to heart-achers. Bread was good and now it’s bad. They’ve changed the grains! They took out the B’s and left the starch. Ice cream was ice cream and now it’s a scoop full of chemicals on a cone.
The list is endless. Make a checklist of things you grew up believing were healthy … you will be surprised.
I grew up believing that bullying was bad and kindness was good. Racism and hate were definite no-no’s in my home. You were a good person until proven otherwise.
Now racism, hate, misogyny, ridicule are popular. How did that happen? Beatings at rallies get applause? “Throw him out” gets cheers?
Mean and obscene were few and far between, but it’s become a host’s best friend on CNN.
Hour after hour of immoral statements by the unqualified are revered and the quiet sane masters of the spoken word go ignored. The bad is good for business.
It’s good for ratings. It’s just bad for everyone else.
I’d like to go back to a world where milk and meat are good again, and sanity prevails.
I would like those that represent me have my best interests at heart and not be in the pockets of corporations trying to pinch my last penny by poisoning my food and water.
Science is a subject we start learning early. We should believe in science. Some out there do not. We are being told climate change is a hoax even though scientists around the world have proven it true. We can’t make a non-issue out of saving the earth .When did science become a know nothing matter to be voted down and out? How will we handle the storms and tsunamis? Will I need to escape into a time travel machine for that? What’s next … no respect for math?
It used to be that having a good full-time job could support a family if need be. Now hard work gets little reward and people struggle to make ends meet. Hard work was a good thing. Now the more you give, the less you get. People need help.
Let’s give more air space to those who have our best interests at heart. Take time to investigate what corporations are doing to our food supply. The world is spinning round with no limits as to what those with lots of money can do to us.
Let’s take the poisons out of our food, water and politics. Most importantly, take the toxins out of our hearts. We need to make everything good again … before it’s too late.
