This class covers e-mail applications including group mailings and attachments, addresses security concerns, including Internet surfing, shopping, and the basic functions of Internet Explorer on Jan. 6, 13, 20 from 10-11:30 a.m. The fee is $30. Tax Assessment Appeals
Nassau County Legislator Jeff Toback will host a meeting with the Nassau County Department of Assessment to help residents learn how to challenge their assessment on Jan. 16 at the Island Park Public Library at 10 a.m. Toback urges residents to appeal their most recent assessment if they disagree with it, even if they are awaiting determination of an appeal filed last year. The filing deadline is March 2.

Bereavement Support Group for Widows and Widowers,

Small intimate support groups designed specifically for those who have recently lost a spouse in the last year.The group will start meeting on Jan. 6 and will continue for eight weeks.
