Saying food allergies in children have never been more apparent, the Oceanside library presented a panel discussion on protecting your children and their friends on Oct. 7. Long Island allergist Dr. Annette Fiorillo-Quinn led the food allergies panel. She is board certified in internal medicine as well as pediatric and adult allergy and immunology, and an active Oceanside resident and mother. The panel also had two nurses in the community; Kim Weiss, and School 8 nurse Grace Impastato. The trio and presented information and answered questions covering all issues someone may face when they or their child have a food allergy. This panel was part of the library’s healthy Oceanside program.
