Look for these around Rockville Centre

It was a gala evening as the Rockville Centre Youth Council’s substance abuse art project opened on June 15. Visitors who packed the Art Studio on North Long Beach Road got a preview of the decorated mannequins of departed celebrities that will serve as a reminder and raise awareness about substance abuse. As part of the campaign to drive home the danger of drug and alcohol use, the mannequins that were painted by a variety of amateur artists from a number of village organizations, will be placed at local businesses upon request, preferably those frequented by students and their families.

The list below describes the deceased celebrity and the artist/s who decorated the mannequins.
