Also nominated by Fusswinkel, he said, "Linda takes a personal interest in people. We can call her at home and she is always available. She is a great resource for the village."
Colucci, a 20-year resident serves tirelessly on both the summer and winter village celebration committees.
"This is a real honor," said Colucci.
Man of the Year
Ryder is the owner of All-ways Exterminating in Lynbrook and was nominated by Lynbrook Detective Fred Fusswinkel.
"I nominated him because of the many activities he is involved in," said Fusswinkel. Ryder is past president of the Lynbrook/ East Rockaway Rotary, on the board of directors of Rotacare, which provides medical care for the un-insured or under-insured, the director for the Iroquois District of Boy Scouts which collects food to be distributed island-wide, a Eucharist Minister and an usher at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Lynbrook.
"He is the kind of person who laughs at himself, can laugh at others and has unique ability to assist acquaintances who are struggling through challenges."

Additionally, the Lynbrook Beautification Committee presented awards to those homes in the community that have strived to enhance the appearance of the village. Awards were presented to: the Calabro family, the Caracciolo family, the Duguid family, the Genden family and two area businesses. Above, is the Caracciolo family who were among the winners.
