Icy cold continues

Local schools in East Rockaway and Lynbrook, including parochial schools, are closed today due to weather conditions.

Very cool, bitter weather remains, with wind chills making it feel like below zero.

Roads were still slick, and cars were still "spinning out," especially on side roads.
