Last year, seven Lynbrook High School National Art Honor Society students participated in the Memory Project, an initiative in which art students create portraits in the form of drawings, paintings or digital art for children and teens around the world who have been neglected, orphaned or disadvantaged. This is the sixth year that Lynbrook High School students have worked with this organization.
NAHS advisor Michael Kunz recently received an email from the Memory Project informing him that the portraits had arrived in Honduras.
“Thanks so much to all of you for being part of the Memory Project,” said Ben Schumaker, founder and director of the Memory Project, in an email to Mr. Kunz. “You have given the kids unique gifts to last a lifetime. I hope you’ll be involved again!”
