Lynbrook man arrested for possessing fireworks

A Lynbrook man was arrested on April 22 at 9 p.m. for possessing a large amount of fireworks, Nassau County police report.

According to detectives, Lynbrook police were called for a disturbance on Harvard Street. During the investigation, the officers discovered that Marc Solomon, 43, was storing a large amount of fireworks at his house. Solomon was placed under arrest without incident, and an investigation into the fireworks also led officers to a storage facility in Rockville Centre where more fireworks were stored. The Arson & Bomb Squad removed all of the fireworks from the premises.

Solomon is charged with two counts of unlicensed possession of explosives and two counts of storage of explosives. He was scheduled to be arraigned on April 23 at the First District Court in Hempstead.
