Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg and Assemblyman Brian Curran announced that Lynbrook Public Schools would receive an additional $50,000 in state funding.
Lynbrook Schools Superintendent Dr. Melissa Burak said the extra funds would be put to use expanding the number of security cameras at school buildings to further protect children in light of recent events across
the nation as well as purchase Automated External Defibrillators for school buildings.
“I’m happy that Assemblyman Weisenberg was able to help in obtaining these funds for Lynbrook Schools,” said Curran. “As one of the senior members of the Assembly, he sets the example of how to work for our community’s children. The aid will help offset expenses for the district without increasing the tax burden on school taxpayers.”
