The Lynbrook School District Board of Education is hosting a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in Lynbrook High School to gauge residents’ thoughts on hiring a new superintendent.
The board retained the services of School Leadership, LLC to lead the search for a new superintendent. Consultants from School Leadership will explain the search process and the anticipated timeline at the meeting. According to a post on the district’s Website, the majority of the meeting will be devoted to listening to the community’s response to several questions about what attributes they would like to see in a new superintedent.
“The information obtained at this meeting will be developed into a set of search specifications that, once approved by the board, will be used as a guide to conduct the search,” the post states.
Those who are unable to attend the meeting can complete the Lynbrook UFSD Superintendent Search Survey, which can be found on the district’s Website. Residents who complete the survey are asked to return it to School Leadership or District Clerk Elizabeth Mueller at the administration office no later than Oct. 26.
