Lynbrook student earns state honors in musical competition

The original musical composition of Lynbrook High School student Gabriel Pechia will be performed at the NYSSMA Electronic Music Composition Showcase.

Lynbrook High School student Gabriel Pechia has been recognized for “Outstanding Musical Composition” by the New York State School Music Teachers Association. His original piece was one of only 11 chosen to be performed at the 17th annual Electronic Music Composition Showcase at the 2012 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Winter Conference in Rochester, N.Y. from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2.
