Another year of learning began in the Lynbrook Public Schools on Sept. 3, the first day of school for students from kindergarten through grade 12.
Throughout the district, students were welcomed by their new teachers and introduced to classmates as they began the next phases of their educational journeys. Lynbrook schools are broadening efforts to support college and career readiness among students and continue to emphasize science, technology, engineering and math through STEM initiatives.
The “1 to World” tablet program is being launched for middle school sixth-graders while new courses in AP physics and anatomy and physiology have been added at Lynbrook High School. Also at the high school, a senior internship program will provide job experiences to twelfth-grade students, and the Career Development Program is being enhanced with the addition of a new transition counselor.
More details on these and other new developments will be shared as the school year progresses.
