Lynbrook T-Mobile robbed by three men

Police capture one suspect, seeking others

Three men robbed the T-Mobile store at 675 Sunrise Highway last Friday, March 30, taking an unknown amount of money and more than $30,000 is communications equipment.
According to The Fifth Squad detectives, three unknown male black subjects entered the store at 3 p.m. and announced a robbery. One of the subjects produced a dark-colored revolver. There was one employee and another person present in the store at the time.
According to Lynbrook Police, the males then remove all of the personal property of the victims and then ordered the victims into the bathroom. The males then placed 30 assorted cell phones into black plastic bags. The complainant heard the front door entrance chime sound at which time they exited the bathroom and called the police.
A witness observed the subjects exiting the store and leaving the scene in a green BMW X5 with Florida Registration plates Southbound on Broadway and copied down the license plate number. That vehicle was located in Brooklyn and at 7:55pm Devin D. Hodges 21 of Brooklyn, NY was placed under arrest and charged with robbery.

Arrests
    On March 26 at 5:05 p.m., a 20-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to signal a turn (2 counts) on Catherine Street.
   At 8:43 p.m. on March 26, a 19-year-old Lynbrook woman was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment and criminal mischief on Sunrise Highway.
    On March 27 at 12:30 p.m., a 21-year-old New York, NY man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding (school zone) and improperly fasten registration plate on Merrick Road.

Found property
  At 9:30 p.m. on March 24, a bicycle was recovered in front of 105 Wood St. The bicycle is a 20-inch BMX style bicycle, color red, and transported to the Lynbrook Police Department for safekeeping.
    On March 26 at 9:30 p.m., a New York State registration plate that was reported lost in Massapequa Park on April 20, 2011 was recovered on Horton Avenue.

Burglary

    At 11:50 p.m. on April 1, a complainant reported that an unknown person(s) pried open the rear door of their business, L.I.A. at 68 Atlantic Ave., and removed two large garbage bags containing designer eyeglasses. The total amount of eyeglasses and their value is unknown at this time. Both subjects, who were observed on video, are described as male white, dark colored hooded sweatshirt wearing black gloves.
