Parent Toddler Playtime Allows parents and toddlers ages 1-2 1/2 years to participate in playtime, art, story time, and music in a relaxed environment. Classes will be held on Mondays from 11 to 12:15 p.m. or Fridays from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Cost is $120 per child.
Almost Real School An interactive, structured program for parents and toddlers ages 2Ð3 years to participate in playtime, art, story time, and music. Parents are expected to keep their little ones on task. If you do not feel your child is ready for a structured classroom environment please sign up for the playtime class that introduces the same concepts but allows for more free play. Classes will be held on Monday mornings from 9:30 to 10:45. Cost is $120 per child.
Almost Real School Separation An interactive, structured program for toddlers ages 2 1/2Ð3 1/2 years to participate in playtime, art, story time, and music. This environment will allow children to socialize, explore, think and discover . A caregiver separation group. This type of interaction enhances social, emotional, and physical development of your child and eases the transition into a pre-school program. Enrichment designed for children 4-5 years old to strengthen the skills they will need to enter kindergarten. The basic skills of letter recognition, colors and writing will be introduced and reinforced throughout the session by a certified teacher. Writing tablets and pencils will be supplied to each student. Classes will be held on Friday afternoons from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Cost is $120 per child.
Creative ballet for tiny toes Young children between 3 and 5 years old can experience the magic creative movement and ballet in a fun and non-threatening atmosphere in this special class. Exploring movement with various props will enhance sensory pleasure as well as enable children to build a dance/ballet vocabulary. Ballet slippers, leotard and leggings are recommended. This is a drop off program and children must be potty-trained. Classes will run Wednesday afternoons 3:30 Ð 4:15 from Oct. 1 to Dec. 10. Cost for this program is $50.
Cooking for kids This is a program designed for children 4-7 years old to promote healthy eating habits while kids have fun with food, learn about good nutrition, prepare delicious dishes and then enjoy eating them! Classes will be held at the Senior Center on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. The cost for this program is $50 per child. Additionally, each child will be required to bring one pack of baby wipes and one tee shirt to be personalized and decorated as a smock on the first day of class.
Arts & Crafts Forty-five minute workshops where children in grades K-3 can come to create arts & crafts projects. Classes will be held Thursday afternoons 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. for 8 weeks, Sept. 25 through Nov. 20. The cost is $50 per child.
Bowling Saturday morning sessions available at Rockville Centre Lanes. Grades K-3 play two games and Grades 3-High School play three games. The cost for K-3 is $7.50 per week, Grades 3-High School $8.50 per week plus a $25 registration fee.
Flag football For boys and girls grades 1-8. All games will be played at the John Street Complex from Sept. 27 through Nov. 15. Cost is $60 per player. This is a non-contact league.
Scrapbooking Come with your favorite pictures and take time to make a memorable scrapbook. Some materials will be provided. Beginning Sept. 16 thru Dec.9, 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $50 per person.
