Purim Party
The Chabad of Valley Stream will be hosting a free Purim party at 550 Rockaway Avenue in Valley Stream on March 11. A reading of the Megillah will occur at 7 p.m., with a special children’s program occurring at that time. Afterwards, there will be a DJ and dancing. Children can also win prizes.
Nursery School and Day Care Fair
The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will hold its third annual nursery school and day care fair on Sunday, March 12, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Representatives from various schools and day cares in the area will be present to answer your questions and talk about their summer programs. Raffle prizes and simple crafts are available for children who attend. New York Life will also offer free photo IDs. Registration is requested at the Children’s Room. Baking Irish Soda Bread

A day to be Irish
Hofstra University’s celebrates the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day at its annual Irish Festival, on Sunday, March 12. Share the spirit of the Emerald Isle with music and dance performances throughout the day, an Irish marketplace and cuisine to sample, along with fun for the kids.
