Margaritaville coming Feb. 5

The Rockville Centre Community Fund is gearing up for its annual Margaritaville Evening, which is scheduled for Feb. 5.

The night is the Community Fund’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Formerly the Enchanted Winterland, Mayor Francis X. Murray changed the fundraiser to the Margaritaville theme two years ago and has kept it every year since because of its immense popularity.

Held on Feb. 5 at the St. Agnes Parish Center, located at 29 Quealy Place, the fundraiser will go from 7 to 11:30 p.m., and will feature a buffet dinner served by Busco’s Gourmet Kitchen and Catering, as well as music provided by Jimmy and the Parrots.

The evening is also a time for the Community Fund to honor members of the community who give back. This year, Anthony Geraci, Tom McNicholas, Jr. and Danny Quinn, co-owners of Kasey’s Kitchen and Cocktails, are being honored.

The Rockville Centre Community Fund was created in 1987 by former-mayor Gene Murray. As its mission, it gives money and aid to Rockville Centre residents in their time of need.

Tickets for the evening are still available, and are $75 per person. For more information and to purchase tickets, call the Mayor’s office at 678-9260.
