The South Merrick Community Civic Association will host a meeting tonight about the former Sunoco gas station property at 150 Merrick Road, located at the intersection of Babylon Turnpike and Merrick Road. The meeting, which will take place at 7 p.m. at the Merrick Road Park golf course clubhouse, is intended to address community concerns about a 7-Eleven store that may open at 150 Merrick Road, according to Civic Association President Joe Baker.
Charles Kovit, the Town of Hempstead’s chief deputy town attorney, and Lou Carnovale, the town’s chief plan examiner, will attend the meeting and answer residents’ questions, Baker said. The public is welcome to attend.
