Concert: The Korean "Idol"
Winners Performance
Soh Young and Friends return May 17 at 2 p.m. to feature the multi-talented champions of the International 2007 Korean Idol awards, including Oceansider Danielle Reed. Tickets required.
Computer darkroom workshop
On May 20 experienced computer users will learn how to download, retouch, and manipulate digital photographs using common applications such as MS WORD. Two workshops will be held, one from 10 to 11:30 a.m. the other from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There is a $10 fee and users should bring a digital camera and USB cable to class.

Baby play hooray
Pat, Laura and Molly Mouse will be on hand to give little ones ages 6-23 months their first taste of activities on May 14 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Be prepared for lots of nursery rhymes, dancing, marching and laughter.
Toddler play hooray
Pat, Laura and Molly Mouse will lead this program specifically designed for toddlers age 24 months to 5 years old from 11:15 to noon on May 14. Come sing, dance and get moving with nursery rhymes, books, music, dancing, parades and more.
Computer Kindergarten for adults
This slow-paced, hands-on workshop on May 21 from 2 to 4 p.m. is designed for first-time computer users. Using IBM compatible computers, this unique class covers the basics in a way that even the most inexperienced user will understand from turning the computer on, the Windows desktop, using the mouse, opening programs, saving a file, and turning the computer off. Poetry Reading
Sponsored by the Island Park Public Library and Sons of Italy, Prof. Johanna Barca Mastrototaro will recite passages from her book of poetry, "Mourning Song." which is dedicated to her deceased mother on May 27 from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Book signing will follow. Register at the Circulation Desk.

Free Car Seat Safety Check
Concerned by statistics that nine out of 10 car seats are installed improperly, Nassau County Legislator Jeff Toback will host another free car seat safety check in Oceanside on May 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at School 6 on Merle Avenue in the parking lot behind the Schoolhouse Green. Appointments run approximately 20 minutes and can be scheduled by calling 571-6207.
Community Yard Sale
Oceanside Kiwanis is sponsoring a Community Yard Sale on May 16, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Schoolhouse Green off Foxhurst Road. Same-day walk-in sellers welcome at 7 a.m., bring your own table. The Jazz Connection
