Food drive
The Jewish Community Center of West Hempstead is hosting a Food Drive all year long. The center is asking Long Islanders for non-perishable food products in order to help fill the depleted inventory in area food pantries. Drop off your donations to the center, 711 Dogwood Avenue, near the entrance at the side door. Each time the bin is full, the food will immediately be donated. Tennis registration
The Malverne Tennis program's registration will be held on Thursday, April 2 at Malverne Village Hall from 7 to 8 p.m. Lessons this season will take place at the Harold Walker Park in Lakeview. All classes are arranged and booked on a first-come, first serve basis. Costs for the eight week program are as follows: $70 for children who are residents of the Village of Malverne, $75 for all children living outside the village and $110 for all adults. Easter Egg Hunt
The West Hempstead Lions Club will host an Easter Egg Hunt for kids 9 and under on Saturday, April 4 at 11 a.m. There will be games, raffles and more.
Music concert
The Malverne Historical and Preservation Society will host An Afternoon of Music program on Sunday, April 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. Singers Christine Solimeno and Peter Rapanaro will perform. There will be raffles and refreshments. The cost is $5 for admission.
