The movie “Horton Hears a Who” will be shown on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m. One of Dr. Seuss' most beloved stories roars to life as never before in this enormous animated adventure that proves a person is a person no matter how small. This movie if for children of all ages who are accompanied by an adult.
The Long Island: Cradle of Aviation will visit the library on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 3 p.m. Come to the library and see a Powerpoint presentation of Long Island's aerospace history. The presentation will include an overview and history of the Cradle of Aviation Museum at Mitchel Field, focusing on aircraft and its role in our nation's history. It will be presented by Tom Gwynne, vice president of programs.
The A, B, C, D’s of Medicare program will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. This session is designed to help seniors become more familiar with the different parts of Medicare and the features of each.
A Tail Waggin’ Tutors: Reading to Dogs program will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14 from 6: 30 to 8:30 p.m. Children in kindergarten through fourth grade will have the opportunity to read to trained therapy dogs.
A Tuesday Night Book Club will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. A new evening book club forming. Please come and join us for an evening of introduction, conversation and decision making. This will be an introductory meeting where future selections will be discussed.
