Malverne Village Board meets on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall on Church Street.
The Mothers of Malverne or MOM meets on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be the organization’s Annual Vendor Night where various vendors will be present for mothers to get a jump start on their holiday shopping. The group meets monthly from September to June to provide a social and support network for mothers of young children as well as events for kids. Project Enroll Now will host its annual fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 1 to 5 p.m., at 44 Rider Ave. in Malverne. There will be home interior, scented candles, handmade, pocketbooks and other items for sale. Kids can participate in a free craft while their parents shop. Wine, cheese and other refreshments will be served. All proceeds are donated to community and school organizations, and for the Spring Children’s Concert in the Park.

Molloy College, in collaboration with FEGS Health and Human Services System and other community partners, will host a seminar, “End of Life Care: Fostering an Interdisciplinary Team Approach,” on Friday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The conference will provide an opportunity for health and human service professionals to explore the key issues in end-of-life, or palliative, care. It will enable attendees to develop greater confidence in the practice of palliative care in their own clinical areas and in multi-professional teams. The Schwartz Family Chiropractic of Malverne will hold its 19th annual Food Drive from Monday, Nov. 17 to Thursday, Nov. 20. All items collected that week will be donated to L.I. Cares, a non-sectarian group that will distribute the food as needed. The Malverne Civic Association will host a Community E-Cycling Event on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the American Legion Hall in Malverne. A Malverne Helping Malverne Food Drive will continue through Saturday, Nov. 22. The library and Malverne Village Hall are accepting donations of non-perishable food items, grocery coupons or cash. Donation will be distributed to local food pantries within Malverne.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors: Reading to Dogs will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. Children in kindergarten through fourth grade will have the opportunity to read to certified and trained therapy dogs.
ARRP 55/Alive Defensive Driving program will be held on Monday, Nov. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This program is open to people ages 50 and older. There is a $10 fee, which must be paid by check only at the time of registration.
The K-2nd Grade Story and Craft will be on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Come to the library to listen to some great books and make something you can take home afterwards.
A Snowman Craft with Rosemarie Ceramics will be on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Create your own enchanting snowman and sleigh with the help of instructor Rosemarie. You will learn how to create special effects using the color scheme of your choice.

A Yoga for Teens program will be held on Mondays, Dec. 1 and 8 from 7 to 8 p.m. Teens in fifth grade or higher can come to the library to learn how to stretch out, breathe deeply and fully relax. Please wear lose clothing and bring a mat or towel. Sign-up has started.
The Art of Gift Wrapping will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Learn the proper way to wrap your gifts. Participants will be able to wrap two gifts. The class size is limited to 15 people. Please bring in two gifts that are the size of a shirt or sweater box and a sharp pair of scissors. There is a $10 materials fee, which must be paid at the time of registration.
A Musical Moppets program will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Children age 18 months to 3 1/2 accompanied by an adult, can come to the library to sing, dance and play. There will be nursery rhymes, fingerplays, music, movement and more.
A Holiday Present Craft: Coasters program will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Come decorate coasters to make a special holiday gift for a loved one. Children ages 2 1/2 through 5 can come with an adult from 3 to 3:30 p.m., and children in grades kindergarten through sixth can come from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Registration begins Monday, Nov. 10.
