Memorial Junior High School held its annual Serves for Cece volleyball tournament, an event that brings the entire school community together in honor of Cecelia “Cece” Ramroop, a former student remembered for her kindness, joy and dedication to community spirit.
The tournament featured spirited competition among students and staff, all coming together on the volleyball court to celebrate the qualities Ramroop embodied. The event serves not only as a tribute to her legacy but also as a way to strengthen bonds within the school community.
This year’s tournament raised more than $770, with all proceeds going directly to Memorial families in need during the holiday season. The fundraiser highlights the school’s commitment to supporting its own and fostering a caring environment.
Organizers Amanda Milano and Tracy Alesia coordinated the event, while Lenny Fiorentino assisted with running the tournament brackets. The school district expressed gratitude to every student, staff member, volunteer and donor who participated, cheered and contributed to making the Serves for Cece fundraiser a meaningful and successful event.
