Merrick Chamber hosts virtual Halloween costume contest

The Merrick Chamber of Commerce is inviting local children to participate in its first-ever virtual Halloween costume contest.

Members will judge costumes and award prizes to children ages Pre-K-kindergarten, 1-6, 7-12 and older for the following categories:

- Best Overall Costume

- Most Original Costume

- Scariest Costume

Residents are invited to email photos to MerrickChamberHalloween@gmail.com by Oct. 25. Submissions should include the name and grade of the child or children featured. Please note that by emailing the photo, participants are giving the right to the Merrick Chamber of Commerce to post it to its Facebook page for contest purposes.

Winners will be announced on Oct. 31.
