On late Tuesday, Molloy College made the decision to suspend face-to-face instruction for more than two weeks as a precaution to prevent the spread of disease. While there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus, or COVID-19, at Molloy College, the college issued a statement saying that is suspending face-to-face instruction for all academic credit coursework at all locations beginning Wednesday, March 11 through March 28. Faculty will offer classes via alternate delivery methods.

In addition, officials said, Molloy is canceling all on-campus events, effective Wednesday, March 11 through March 28, and will communicate promptly regarding any changes to that schedule. This includes all events at the Madison Theatre, and those with tickets will receive refunds, the college said. The box office phones will be operating during this period.

Staff and administrators who can work from home may be required to do so until further notice, officials said.
