Molloy College announced it has been ranked in the top 100 nationally by Money magazine in its third annual “Best Colleges for Your Money” list.
The rankings feature Ivy League universities and other well-known national institutions. No other Long Island or Queens university or college was ranked higher than Molloy, which was listed as No. 84 in the country (out of 705 schools reviewed by Money).
“Molloy prides itself on being one of the most affordable private schools in the region,” said Dr. Drew Bogner, the college’s president. “We remain focused on delivering a great value for our students as we prepare them for exciting careers beyond Molloy.”
The Money rankings focused on 24 measures in three categories: Quality of education (including the school’s six-year graduation rate and its student-to-faculty ratio); Affordability (including a combination of the latest federal data on student and parent borrowing, the average net price the college charges and federal student-loan default and repayment rates); and Outcomes (including graduates’ early and mid-career earnings and a new addition to the rankings this year: the percentage of the college’s alumni who told payscale.com that their job “makes the world a better place”).
Molloy was also listed No.1 in the magazine’s “50 Colleges That Add the Most Value.”
