Police said that Tony Bobby Nasseer followed a 15-year-old girl walking on the north side of Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont at about 3 p.m. on July 11. He began speaking to the girl and trailed her as she tried to walk away. He followed closely behind and attempted to talk to her about sex, police said.
The girl ran home and told her mother, who spotted Nasseer and ran after him. The mother caught up to Nasseer and struggled with him at the McDonald's on Hempstead Turnpike. Four men held him until cops arrived and arrested Nasseer.
He was charged with third-degree stalking and endangering the welfare of a child - both misdemeanors - and was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead last Tuesday.
