The Rockville Centre community continued to pull for the family of Kendall Curnuck, an 8-year-old Wilson Elementary School student who is battling leukemia, with another Kindness for Kendall benefit, sponsored by Links Real Estate Group and CJ’s Coffee Shop last Sunday. The fall fair, on a summer-like day, offered refreshments, mums and pumpkins, musical entertainment, a petting zoo and a bouncy house for children. SST Embroidery joined in the fundrasing effort, with the sale of tee-shirts. This benefit, which raised more than $10,000, follows several held last spring and over the summer by local students who waged a “lemonade war on leukemia” and eventually teamed up with Jeannine’s Boutique, which donated a percentage of its profits from a Sept. 17 event.
