The weather could have been far worse. TV prognosticators were predicting heavy downpours Sept. 13 and 14. Saturday and Sunday, however, were mostly rain-free, even though the skies were cloudy. The relatively dry, warm weather allowed local residents to enjoy the many informational booths, food stands, small-business displays, arts-and-crafts vendors, and kids' rides that the fair had to offer.
