The Rockville Centre Fire Department held a dedication ceremony for the newest truck to join the town's fleet of emergency response vehicles. The Fire Police now have a fully equipped Ford 450 to assist at the sites of car accidents and other emergencies in order to keep the village's firefighters, police and civilians safe.
There is a bronze plaque on the truck citing its dedication in memory of Honorary Chief Matthew "Uncle Matt" Murray, a longtime member of the Fire Department and Fire Police Squad who died in 2009.
