Judy Martin, who grew up in Baldwin and attended Baldwin schools, died Friday night, Jan. 31, in her Suffolk County home. The 49-year-old News 12 television anchor lived in the hamlet of Halesite in the Town of Huntington.
According to Newsday, which with News 12 is owned by Cablevision, concern for her grew when the Emmy-award winning Martin did not show up for the 5 p.m. News 12 newscast that she had been scheduled to anchor. No cause of death had been reported as of early this week.
