North Merrick school budget passes

Corona, Miller win re-election

The $34.2 million North Merrick School District budget has been approved by voters.

Absentee ballots were tallied and showed 1,611 votes for and 1,099 votes against the budget.

Incumbents Tracey Miller and Edward Corona won re-election with 1,346 votes and 1,321 votes respectively. 

They were challenged by Lisa Katz and Hali Herman, who received 1,175 votes and 1,018 votes respectively.
