At about 7 p.m. last Saturday, the Rockville Centre Fire Department received word of a car fire at the intersection of Roxen Road and North Village Avenue. There were no injuries as firefighters used water and foam to quickly extinguish the blaze, which was thought to have started after the Jeep had a flat tire and was driven on a tire rim for some distance.
