Richard T. McLaughlin, of Valley Stream, died on June 8. He was 72.
McLaughlin served in the New York Police Department for 36 years, patrolling in the 32nd Precinct of Harlem.
He was the beloved husband of Donna; the devoted father of Christine Wegner, Sharon Jacbobs, Kevin McLaughlin and Timothy McLaughlin; the cherished “Pop Pop” of Katie, Abigail, Emily, Eleanor and William; the dear brother of James, Michael, William, Mary and Edward; and the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in McLaughlin’s name to Camp Anchor in Lido Beach.
