Last week, the Oceanside High School Patriot’s Club — one of the only on Long Island — erected a Field of Honor on the front lawn of OHS.
Each flag was bought by a community member and dedicated to someone. There are 200 flags planted on the field. Each was bought for $25, and the money is being used to aid wounded veterans, although the Patriot’s Club hasn’t yet decided on which organization to donate the money to.
