Extended Basic Computer Skills
This 5-day workshop is designed for beginners and combines the Basic and Windows classes. Students will learn basic computer skills and operations, including mouse skills, keyboard techniques, Internet surfing, and file management applications such as saving and retrieving files. Classes are Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, and March 3 from 10-11:30 a.m. There is a $50 fee.
Extended Excel
Using a spreadsheet, students will learn how to create, sort, print, and edit those lists and apply calculations. It will include equations, formatting, and even the Reports Wizard to create common household and small business systems for tracking and forecasting. Students must have a working knowledge of computers or have attended the Basic class. Classes are Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, and March 3 from 7-8:30PM

Members of Nassau-Suffolk Performing Arts will perform at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7.The Wind Symphony and Concert Band will perform at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall on Feb. 6, and the Jazz Band, Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Ensemble will perform at 8 p.m. at the Hillwood Recital Hall on February 7. Bereavement Support Group
COPE, a grief and healing organization dedicated to supporting parents and families living with the loss of a child, holds free monthly support group meetings on the first Wednesday of every month for parents at the Oceanside Jewish Center. The Island Park Civic Association will be hosting a dinner on Feb. 14, Valentines Day, at the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park. Oceanside Kiwanians will once again take to the griddle iron on Feb. 1 to whip up their annual old-fashioned Super Bowl Pancake Breakfast.Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to send needy children to Kamp Kiwanis this summer. Blood Drive
The Oceanside Knights of Columbus will be holding a blood drive on Feb. 2 from 3-9:30 p.m. at the Knights Hall at 2985 Kenneth Place in Oceanside. The Knights will provide a complete steak dinner, soup and salad to all those who donate. Cookies and juices will also be available.

Join the Friedberg JCC on a day trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show at the Philly Convention center. The show is the largest of its kind in the world and offers an amazing 11 acres of exhibits, lectures, demonstrations-including all-star culinary demonstrations by top chefs.
