Oceanside Schools’ Spelling Bee champs Dean Creedon, Brendan McFall and Ethan Wile (first, second and third place winners) with judges. Dean Creedon, a 5th grade student from School 3, won the Oceanside Districtwide Spelling Bee. Brendan McFall, a 6th grade student from School 5, came in second, with Ethan Wile, a 4th grade student from School 4, finishing third. Winners will take a written test to qualify for the next round of competition, which goes from the regional Long Island level to, ultimately, Washington, D.C.
