Oceanside firefighters rushed to the local National Grid plant on Daly Boulevard early Thursday morning, where a pickup truck sat engulfed in flames.
Assistant Chiefs Robert Sutton Jr. and Joseph Caroccia arrived to the scene first at about 5:23 a.m., as the department's Engine No. 246 followed soon after and quickly extinguished the fire.
The truck was a personal vehicle, according to the fire department, and the fire was deemed not suspicious. Nobody was injured.
Nassau County Police and the Island Park Fire Department also responded to the call.
